Rental prices start from:
£15 per month for a Classic Violin

Easy Size Exchanges
Children grow, and their instruments need to grow with them. That's why we make size exchanges simple and hassle-free.
One monthly rental price applies across all available sizes within the same instrument range. When it's time to move up a size, simply arrange an exchange and continue on the same rental plan without interruption.
This flexible approach allows students and parents to focus on musical progress rather than the cost of repeatedly purchasing larger instruments.
We believe in transparent pricing. Once your rental agreement begins, your monthly rental payment will not increase during your contract period or while you continue on a rolling monthly agreement.

Each instrument is professionally inspected and set up in our Lincolnshire workshop before dispatch, ensuring excellent playability, comfort and sound quality from the moment it arrives.

For hygiene reasons, shoulder rests are not included with violin and viola rentals. However, they can be purchased separately and sent with your instrument if required. Celli and double basses do not require shoulder rests.

Our luthier carefully assesses every aspect of the instrument's setup, including the fingerboard, pegs, bridge, soundpost and string heights. Components are adjusted, refined and fitted where necessary to improve comfort, tuning stability, response and tone.

One of the biggest advantages of renting from Bridge Street Violins is that your rental payments can help you work towards owning your own instrument.
When you're ready to purchase, we will credit 50% of your previous year's rental payments towards the purchase of an instrument, bow or complete outfit. It's a simple way to spread the cost of ownership while enjoying a quality instrument in the meantime.
Many of our customers begin with a rental instrument before progressing to ownership, making this scheme an excellent option for beginners, students and advancing musicians who are not yet ready to commit to an outright purchase.
Purchase Credit Terms
Up to 12 months of rental payments can be included in the scheme.
The credit must be redeemed within 6 months of ending your rental agreement.
The scheme applies when purchasing an instrument, bow or complete outfit.
The item purchased does not need to be the instrument you rented.
Minimum Rental Periods
Classic Rental Packages: Minimum 6-month rental period.
Premium, Deluxe, Apprezzato, Distintivo and Prestigioso Rental Packages: Minimum 12-month rental period.
