Product Information
The Prestigioso represents the best of this range of cellos, the A grade instrument is hand carved in a small family workshop from their highest quality tonewoods.
The Prestigioso cello has an A grade Asian spruce top with very tight grain, a beautifully figured quarter sawn solid maple back, ebony pegs and an ebony fingerboard.
On top of these superb tonewoods the instrument is then hand varnished and given an antique finish to complete what is a beautiful instrument with a good sound with superb tonal variation.
Available as a 4/4 Full Sized Hand Carved Cello and a 7/8 size hand carved cello.
A perfect upgrade instrument for the advanced and adept players
Benefits from a Despiau Superieur Maple, hand fitted and adjusted cello bridge and a premium 4-adjuster tailpiece.
Professional Set Up
All instruments are professionally set up by our resident Bridge Street Luthier for a high quality sound. This set up includes peg adjustment, finger board resurfacing, top nut adjustment, sound post and bridge fitting, adjustments for optimal string height and playing comfort

The small family workshop that builds these wonderful handmade instruments only has a limited release capacity, please get in touch to check get an accurate lead time.
Postage Options
Once we have the best possible sound, the instrument can be sent out to you, anywhere in the UK, a postage charge is applied at the checkout, alternatively you can collect free of charge from our Workshop near Lincoln. International postage is available, please get in touch for an individual quote.
