A lovely example of a violin dating from the second French industrial revolution age - c.1897. The perfect antique instrument for a developing player or orchestral ensemble. With the new set-up the instrument gained its full potential of a clear and balanced sound.

This Violin shows signs of historic peg box repairs, these professional repairs highlight the age and quality of the instrument, they add intrigue and patina to this fine antique instrument.

Front is of fine width, evenly grained spruce, the neck, ribs and one-piece back are of maple. With the new set-up the instrument gained its full potential of a clear and balanced sound. Active string length (topnut to bridge) 330mm
