The Avanzato is a hand-carved, full-size cello, designed to support advancing musicians as they progress through the grades. It offers a rich, solid, and full-bodied sound with a wide tonal variety and excellent responsiveness, making it a superb choice for both solo and ensemble performance.
This cello is crafted from high-quality tonewoods, including a very fine-grained solid spruce top and a quarter-sawn maple neck, back, and ribs, carefully selected for their acoustic properties. It is fitted with great quality ebony Hill Heart-shaped pegs and a high-quality ebony fingerboard for smooth playability. The instrument is finished in a chestnut brown spirit varnish over a golden yellow ground, with a hand-applied antique finish that enhances its elegant appearance.
To ensure the best possible playing experience, this model also benefits from a custom sound adjustment service. Players can specify their tonal preferences, and our luthier will make expert refinements to the bridge, soundpost, and string selection to match their desired sound profile—whether warmer and more resonant or brighter and more focused.

Once your cello has been set up to perfection, we offer the following delivery options:
Free Local Collection: You are welcome to collect your instrument free of charge from our workshop near Lincoln.
UK Delivery: We’ll dispatch your cello anywhere in the UK, with a postage charge applied at checkout.
EU Delivery: We are happy to arrange shipping within the EU, a postage charge will be applied at the checkout.
International Delivery: Worldwide shipping is available with some exceptions. Please get in touch for an individual quote.
