The Prestigioso Hand-Crafted Cello represents the highest standard in this range of instruments. Each cello is meticulously hand-carved in a small family workshop, using their finest selection of tonewoods to ensure exceptional sound quality and playability.
Built for advanced musicians, the Prestigioso features an A-grade Asian spruce top with a very tight grain, paired with a beautifully figured, quarter-sawn solid maple back for excellent resonance. The ebony pegs and ebony fingerboard provide durability and a smooth playing experience. The instrument is then hand-varnished and given an antique finish, enhancing both its appearance and tonal characteristics.
This model is available in both 4/4 full size and 7/8 size, making it suitable for a range of players seeking a refined, high-quality instrument.
As part of our professional setup, the Prestigioso also benefits from a custom sound adjustment service. Players can specify their tonal preferences, and our luthier will make precise refinements to the bridge, soundpost, and string selection to achieve their desired sound—whether warmer and more resonant or brighter and more focused.
Additional premium fittings include a Despiau Superieur maple bridge, carefully hand-fitted and adjusted, and a premium 4-adjuster tailpiece for effortless fine-tuning.

How Long Will It Take to Arrive?
In Stock: If the cello is in stock, we aim to prepare and dispatch your order the next working day.
Special Order: If the cello is not immediately available, we’ll inform you and place a special order for your instrument. These instruments are set up specifically for you, with a lead time of 2 weeks from the date of order.
Postage Options
Once your cello has been set up to perfection, we offer the following delivery options:
Free Local Collection: You are welcome to collect your instrument free of charge from our workshop near Lincoln.
UK Delivery: We’ll dispatch your cello anywhere in the UK, with a postage charge applied at checkout.
International Delivery: We are happy to arrange international shipping. Please get in touch for an individual quote.
