Product Information
The decorative edition of the Stentor Profundo double bass brings an added touch of craftsmanship to an already exceptional orchestral instrument. Hand-carved from selected solid tonewoods, this model features a fine, close-grained spruce front and beautifully figured maple back, sides, and neck. It includes all the features of the standard Profundo, with the addition of delicate decorative carving around the edges, head, front, and back—making it an instrument of both visual and musical distinction.
Inlaid purfling enhances durability and defines the clean lines of the instrument’s outline, while the ebony fingerboard and high-quality bridge support a responsive, resonant tone. Fitted with quarter plate brass machine heads, the tuning is smooth and reliable. This double bass is individually workshop fitted to ensure the best possible set-up for advanced players and soloists.

When this instrument is special ordered for you, it will be set up and prepared especially for you and can be customized based on your personal preferences.

Free Local Collection: You are welcome to collect your instrument free of charge from our workshop near Lincoln.
UK Delivery: We’ll dispatch your Double Bass anywhere in the UK, with a postage charge applied at checkout.
