The Alunno Apprezzato Cello Rental Package is our highest-level rental outfit, ideal for advanced players who need a refined, reliable instrument for demanding study or performance. Whether you're preparing for Grade 8, diploma work, or playing regularly in ensemble settings, this cello offers the depth and nuance needed to support serious musical development.

Carefully carved from well-seasoned maple and spruce, this cello produces a warm, resonant tone with excellent projection. The tonal complexity and responsiveness make it a pleasure to play, particularly for those developing advanced bowing techniques and expressive phrasing.

Each instrument is meticulously set up by our expert luthier at the Billinghay workshop, ensuring optimal tonal balance and ease of play. This cello rental package is an ideal choice for those not yet ready to invest in a purchase, but who need a high-performance instrument to grow with.

Each outfit includes:

• A premium-quality hand carved cello

• Hardwood bow with half-mounted ebony frog

• Padded gig bag with rucksack straps and high-vis detailing

• Light Amber Rosin

Rental Terms:

• Minimum rental period: 12 months

• Proof of address and a valid photo ID are required

• A rental agreement must be completed and signed before dispatch (we’ll send this to you separately)

Professional Set-Up

At Bridge Street Violins, we offer a comprehensive professional setup that goes above and beyond the basic factory setup provided by most other shops. Each instrument is carefully adjusted by our expert luthier to ensure optimal sound and playability. Depending on the instrument, this setup may include:

• Peg adjustment

• Fingerboard resurfacing (if necessary)

• Top nut adjustment

• Sound post and bridge fitting

• String height adjustments

• Tailored settings for enhanced playing comfort

This service ensures your instrument is fully prepared for high-quality performance, tailored to your individual needs. It’s a level of care that sets us apart from other retailers who typically offer a basic factory setup.

What Happens When I Order?

Once we receive your order, our luthier Laurentius will personally get in touch to introduce himself, discuss your specific requirements and guide you through the next steps. We’ll also prepare your rental agreement and send it to you via email.

Please Note: We cannot process any special orders or dispatch rental outfits until the signed rental agreement is returned, proof of address and a valid photo ID have been supplied.

How Long Will My Order Take to Arrive?

Postage Options

Once the instrument is perfectly set up, we’ll ship it within Great Britain. Due to some limitations on our platform, postage charges are invoiced separately. We’ll provide delivery options once your order is confirmed. Alternatively, you can collect your instrument free of charge from our workshop near Lincoln. Rentals are only available in Great Britain and can’t be shipped overseas or taken out of the country by our renters, but we’re glad to assist with any questions you might have, wherever you’re based.

Paying Rent

The price listed on this page is the monthly rental amount. By selecting this rental package, you’re setting up an automatic monthly recurring payment, which will be deducted from your bank account on the same day each month. The minimum rental period is 12 months, after which the agreement will continue on a rolling month-to-month basis.

Note: While rental prices may increase due to inflation, you can rest assured that your monthly payment will never change mid-contract or during the rolling month-to-month period.

What Happens if You Want to Buy Your Instrument?

You can purchase any rental cello outright. Simply visit our shop for more details on the instrument’s product page. If you decide to buy your rental instrument or upgrade to a different one, we offer a 50% discount on up to one year’s rent as a loyalty bonus. This discount can be claimed up to 6 months after you return your rental. Terms and Conditions apply
