Product Information
Over time, the eyelet in your violin bow can wear down, causing issues with tensioning. This small yet essential brass component connects the screw mechanism to the frog, allowing for proper adjustment. A worn or stripped eyelet can make bow tightening difficult or impossible, affecting playability.
Our professional eyelet fitting and replacement service ensures your bow functions as it should. Our skilled luthiers will carefully remove the damaged eyelet and replace it with a high-quality, properly fitted brass eyelet to restore smooth and reliable adjustment.
Postal Service
We understand that visiting our workshop in person may not always be feasible. Therefore, we accept bows sent to us via post for eyelet fitting and replacement. Please note the following:
Owner's Responsibility: All shipping costs and associated risks are borne by the owner. We recommend using a reliable courier service with appropriate insurance coverage to protect your valuable instrument during transit.
Packaging Guidelines: Ensure your bow is securely packaged to prevent damage. Using a sturdy, well-sealed tube (such as a plastic pipe) no more than 90 cm long is advisable. Avoid using boxes, as they may not be accepted by postal services due to size restrictions.
Pop a note inside the package with your name, email address, phone number, and return address so we know who your instrument belongs to and can get in touch if needed.
Booking: Before sending your bow, please contact us to schedule the repair. This helps us manage our workload and provide you with a timely service.
