This 3/4 French Mirecourt Violin, crafted around 1897, is an exceptional example of the Médio Fino model from the renowned Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy (JTL) workshop. Built on a Stradivari pattern, it offers excellent resonance, a warm, projecting tone, and superior craftsmanship. In fantastic condition, this violin is a superb choice for ambitious young musicians and orchestral performers.

Luthier fitted bridge, bearing the name of Harry George of Blackpool, optimally fitted and adjusted for sound. Robust tailpiece with 4 fine adjusters. Strings upgraded to Larsen Aurora for a balanced and open, yet warm, sound. The instrument gained its full potential and has a clear, strong and balanced sound and an excellent response

This Violin shows signs of historic peg box repairs, these professional repairs highlight the age and quality of the instrument, they add intrigue and patina to this fine antique instrument.

Front is of fine width, evenly grained spruce, the neck, ribs and one-piece back are of maple. With the new set-up the instrument gained its full potential of a clear and balanced sound. Active string length (topnut to bridge) 330mm
