Product Information
The endpin is a deceptively small yet structurally critical part of your instrument. It holds the full weight and tension of the strings and, in the case of cellos and double basses, also serves as the main support point against the ground. A poorly fitting endpin can compromise both safety and sound.
The fit must be just right:
Too loose, and the pin may slip or pop out under tension
Too tight, and it can be difficult to insert, increasing the risk of breakage or damage due to diminished anchor resistance
Getting this right is essential to ensure both playability and structural stability.
Our endpin replacement service includes the removal of your existing endpin and the installation of a new assembly, selected and fitted to match your instrument’s size and requirements. Proper installation also enhances tonal transmission and projection, especially in lower instruments.
This service includes:
Assessment and removal of the existing endpin
Cleaning and preparation of the socket
Installation of a new endpin assembly
Fine-tuning of the fit for safe tension handling and smooth use
Final checks for resonance, support, and security
